Scotland to Newcastle Ferry

In 1901, a wealthy Edwardian bachelor decided it would make a quiet retreat from London. Lindisfarne Castle changed from a fort to a holiday home and with a view like this I can understand why. From here we can see all the way across to Bamburgh Castle. Lots of magenta flowers cover the grassy slopes and the water is so clear you can easily see the rocks below.
